SUMMER TRIPS
Jamming at a youth hostel in Basel, with William Diamond Jr. Fife and Drum Corps and Deep River Jr. Fife and Drum Corps (2012)
Every five years, the Marquis hosts a muster in Granby. Every year that there is no muster, the Marquis goes on a summer trip. The trips are usually inexpensive, and there are fundraising opportunities to lower the cost of each trip. The price of the trip includes food, lodging (if applicable), and transportation. The summer trips, aren't all about performing, however. There are many fun activities that the children partake in, when they aren't in uniform. Some typical activities include ziplining, sightseeing, and hiking. The Marquis summer trips can be virtually anywhere. Most notably, the Marquis traveled to Basel, Switzerland in 2012. Most recently, the Marquis traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland to perform at its Fringe Festival.
